I wanna swim

I never learned how to swim.  In high school we were required to take a swim class for one semester.  I was registered for the class.  Instead of taking the class...I dated the teacher.  Ugh...I know...horrible...but true.  I didn't want to mess up my hair.

I regret that decision now.  I really wish I new how to swim.  I would love to go to the gym and jump in the pull and swim laps.  I'm sure that is a great form of exercise.  The plan is to take swim lessons.  I will as soon...I hope.

Last night was BP.  I went...and the entire time I wanted to slap the instructor.  She does not interact well with the class.  She never checks form.  She is to busy getting her workout in.  I guess I like interaction.  I actually upped my weights yesterday so that was exciting.  I'm looking forward to the next class.  Tonight I'm going to throw the kids in the wagon and pull them around the subdivision.  This will be a great workout because they are heavy.  LOL.  No...I will actually  go for a run tonight after I put my kiddos to sleep.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far.  If not...remember...it could be worse.

I am just going to pretend I did not read you dated the teacher..... Heck, we had swimming every year and guess what- it was always 'that time of month'; that worked as an excuse at my school. Love you!

You know they say it's never to late! Maybe we can all get in the pool together in Chicago! :)

I used to be a swim teacher! I tought the little kids, what we called the "minnows" (8-9 year olds). I could totally teach you to swim. I wish I lived nearby. You can definitely learn.

You are kicking ass on the exercise! I enjoy swimming but never go even though the pool is not far from my house. I find that the "regular" lap swimmers are kind of mean to new people who come to swim.

Oh, I would totally teach you to swim too. I do think the date the teacher thing is hilarious though.

Some pools do group beginners lessons and some do parent and child lessons so you can learn together. If nothing else, try going to your local pool and 'walking the lanes' extra resistance and gets you comfortable being in the water. You can also practise kicking your legs in the hot tub if there is nobody within kicking/splashing range.

I hope you learn to swim, but I am with you on the hair thing Dawnya. It is shameful even now that I won't go swimming because of my hair. I will have to suck it up though, because I want to take my daughter to baby swim classes.

Swimming is such good exercise! I rarely swim, but I need to start doing it more.

Swimming is such great exercise and I wish I could get myself to do it. But I don't. Hope you do!! Because that might inspire me!

Wow, look at how I got that back to me. :)

Swimming is the absolute best workout ever truly! I hate machines and treadmills and all of that. A complete body workout is swimming laps!

I hope you can do this!
