Words and Phrase for New Year

Well here they are.  My words for 2012.  These words and my phrase have meaning for me.  They will be my guides through 2012 along with my smart wellness goals for the year.  This year is going to be fantastic!!!

Fearless: adj.
Free from fear; bold or brave

Bad ass: adj. (Thanks Vanessa)
1. Used to describe one who totally owns who he/she is, is uninhibited in who they are and doesn't let what other people think affect his/her actions/decisions.

2.Noun: A person who is the best of the best at what they do professionally and/or personally. Being a Bad ass goes hand-in-hand with being self confident, secure and uninhibited.

Dedicated: adj.
1.  Wholly committed to something, as to an ideal, political cause, or personal goal.

Phrase of 2012
It always seems impossible, until it's done. (Nelson Mandela)

In 2012 I will leave my fears in 2011.  I will step out on faith and follow my dreams.  I will apply for the jobs I am qualified for and not be afraid of rejection.  I will pursue my photography and not be afraid of criticism.  I will take my PHR certification and not be afraid of failing.  I will retake my LSAT and know I am smarter than a standardized test.  I will live my life without fear!!!

In 2012 my inner bad ass will show on the outside.  I'm not longer going to let what others think of me count at all (yup...sometimes I do...but they don't know).  Nothing or nobody is going to stand in my way of success...that includes me.  I'm getting out of my own damn way for a change and I'm going to keep on climbing!!!

In 2012 I will be dedicated to reaching my personal and professional goals.  I will be dedicated to losing the weight.  I will be dedicated to educating my children.  I will be dedicated to my marriage and making it the best it can be.  I will be dedicated to me.  Dedicated to loving me even on the days when all I want to do is bury my head in the sand.  I will be Dawnya...and Dawnya will be happy!!!

Nelson Mandela is a great man with great insight into life.  His quotes and speeches always inspire me to do better.  At this moment the thought of losing another 100 pounds seems impossible.  But Mr. Mandela is right...it seems impossible, until it's done.  I will get it done.  I may not lose it all in 2012...but I will get there.  Every pound is a victory and one pound closer to goal.

Be blessed in 2012 my friends...be blessed.  Have a safe, prosperous and Happy New Year!!!
