I went home to Indiana this weekend. It was great. I surprised a good friend at her graduation. She was so happy to see me. Especially after I spoke to her earlier in the day and told her I was so sorry I couldn't make it. LOL
Well my first NSV started on the plane ride. I no longer need a seat belt extender. That's right....I was able to buckle the seat belt with little to no help. I was so excited I started to shimmy in my seat. LOL
My crazy band was being mean to me. LOL Okay maybe not. I'm just not used to eating around others...so talking and eating is not good for the chew chew chew doctrine. The first meal of the weekend found me in the restroom at White Castle slimming. Not cool. However, after I was done. I was able to finish the meal. ha ha. My best friend Yoti just laughed and shook her head. But she understood.
The next meal of the night resulted in the same issue. That is when I realized it was the damn french fries I was trying to eat from two different places. LOL Apparently, french fries are no longer on my list of things I can eat. LOL!!
My second NSV happened on Friday. Shopping with Karla (my bestest good friend in the whole wide world) I was able to purchase 3 items (2 dresses, 1 jumpsuit) in (drum roll please) size 18/20!!!! Who the hell would have thunk it. LOL I was so excited. Oh yeah I got a new tattoo on Friday too. My tattoo guy even noticed I lost weight since the last time he saw me. How cool is that. I am so glad that I am married. This guy has given me 4 of my tattoos. The very first one...12 years ago. To make a long story short...the damn tattoo turned me on and I pretty much molested the man in the tattoo shop. Gosh I'm so glad I'm married, because it would have been on and popping. ROFL!!!
The rest of the weekend resulted in more stuck episodes...unfortunately for me. LOL I just kept running my damn mouth and trying to chew. The shit doesn't work people. Do not try it at home. I hate being stuck. I hate slimming and the occasional puke. Needless to say when I came home yesterday and today no issues. Because I kept my big mouth shut and just chewed.
Also May 16th marked 6 months since receiving my band. I will post a picture post this week. Let's see the comparison.
I have missed y'all this weekend. Catching up on blog post and commenting could take forever. So I'm just reading and commenting as I see fit.

Fries do it to me every time too! I still test them from time to time though -- guess I'll never learn! Congrats on the NSVs!
If I have one fry, I'm stuck for the rest of the meal. i did manage to get one down yesterday though, and guess what? It does not taste nearly as good as I remember!

I don't know I've ever had quite the same experience as you with getting a tattoo, but I've always found them soothing, even took a cat nap during one of them. Kind of like a day at the spa!
It took me forever to get the chew chew chew down right. But occasionally the food is so good and the conversation so distracting that we still forget. Great NSV's.
I have the same problem when I eat with people I haven't seen in awhile. We get so chatty that I forget what I'm doing and just start shoveling food into my mouth like there's no tomorrow! Yay for 18/20's!
Yay for the NSVs!! I have two tattoos and havn't felt that way! Haha!!

I get really tight when I fly...which is a shame, because I love to do it!!! I just try to be really careful for a day or 2 after the flight (makes a weekend trip interesting). I also have trouble with fries...a couple is fine, but any more than that and they get stuck. No bueno!

I can't wait to see your comparison photos! I know that french fries are totally off limits for me. I was in Atlanta and I tried these Sesame french fries I bought at a Korean Taco restaurant and they were orgasmic, but I could only eat like 3 before I got stuck. I could have eaten the whole platter, but I knew I couldn't. I was so sad. They were delicious! But i guess that is why we have the band right???
So what is the new tattoo of?
