Pouch Test and other stuff

Day 3 of the pouch test went well.  I had an omelet for breakfast. I realized...I don't like eggs unless they are with grits and toast.  So not my thing.  But I ate that omelet like it was the best thing ever.  I was able to get all of my water in.

Day 4 is going well right now.  I'm telling you.  Read's words of "Get the fuck over it," are getting me through.  I love that red headed vamp.

Exercise  I went to Zumba yesterday.  It was so sad.  I have not enjoyed it much lately.  I'm totally shocked.  The female instructor that had to leave was so great.  Now I'm just stuck with the male instructor...and even in all his gay glory...he is not doing it for me.  There is only so much Tejano music I can stand.  I was bored out of my mind last night.  That music and the same routine...not going to cut it.  So I am thinking  of joining the YMCA.  They have a lot of fun class offereings during the eveing and I can drop the kids off at the day care inside the Y.  Lap Band Gal talked about enjoying exercise on her blog today.  It's so true.

Tonight is a walking night...and maybe some dancing to get the heart pumping.

I have started the search of finding a new bariatric office.  I do not want to go back to True Results and their negative perception of me.  I need to be around a surgical team who cares.  I have found an office and surgeon.  I picked this office and surgeon because they specialize in all areas of bariatric surgery.  That means if I need to change it up...maybe have the sleeve like Jacqui...then I have that option.

I'm dealing with a lot of things at work right now.  I hope to have them resolved this week.  I have revamped my resume and cover letter. I will spend some time over the next few weeks applying for jobs.  I am not limited to Texas either.  I am a gypsy at heart.

By the way...if you receive an email from me from a bop.gov email address...it is me.  Sometime I can't wait until I get home to reply.  If you send me an e-mail at blackbutterfly719 before 4:00 pm (central) I will not reply until later in the day.  I can't check my personal e-mail from my work e-mail.

Does anyone follow the blog Ginny's Skinny Recipes?  OMG...I love her blog.  The recipes are great.  Ronnie you should look at it since you are going to start WW.  She has all the information available with the points for each meal.

I was so gonna make hard boiled eggs yesterday for meals, but they were expired! Okay, the use by date was July 3, and my hubbs would totally have used them, but I'm weird about expired stuff. I love eggs in all forms. Today was a good day for me food wise as well. I know you will find the perfect job! You should totally check out Ohio jobs! I even have a room you could stay in when your in town scooping the area!

Glad you're doing good.

And I hate it too if your class shifts gears and then you just can't get back into it.

I also think you should find a new doc. It just doesn't seem like you're getting good results at the one you're at now.

Toodles! off to the lake I go! Have a good weekend Lovely!!

You are doing great at the pouch test. I failed miserably the one time I tried.
Sorry work is up in the air right - I totally feel you on that. I've been that situation for months. I hope it works out OK.

Even in all his gay glory, huh? haha Aww, that's sad.

I go to the Y and I love it. I haven't taken any of the classes yet, but I like that the options are there. Right now, the machines are doing it for me. (Plus, I'm not really into group activities.)

Yes, Gina's Skinny Recipes are awesome. I just drool over the pics.

My equivalent for Read's Get the F*ck over it is HTFU or Harden the F*ck up! I love them both.

Yep, if you aren't enjoying your Zumba it's time to find something else girl cause we KNOW Zumba is fun!

I completely agree about finding a new Drs office for your after care. You need someone who is going to listen and offer advice, not stand and judge.

*hearts for you*

Sounds like you're doing great on the pouch test! Don't let one snide woman's comments rile you up too badly, she probably doesn't have a band, so she doesn't know how difficult it can be. I think you're doing the right thing choosing a new surgeon - pick one that does the fills himself!

And you are a saint - every recipe I've seen on just the first page of that blog looks amazing. :)

(Ugh, I just tried to post this comment last night and forgot it had word verification, so it's just been sitting here waiting to be said all night. Sad!)

I hope things get better at work for you. I'm not an egg person either. And I so understand about Zumba, but for different reasons. I was just talking about Zumba with the GA down the hall. I just need someone to come kick me into high gear. That's sad that I can motivate myself in everything else but exercise.

And on the doctor thing, I say go for it cause if I had to money to change doctors I would cause sadly it cost $250 just to transfer stuff. These doctors come up with more fees.

Have a great weekend!!

Have you tried Jazzercise? It is kind of like Zumba but there is more of a variety in the music. Plus they do strength training, which I LOVE. I know it isn't for everybody, but I am a huge fan.

You know, I love eggs in any fashion for any meal at any time. :)
