BYOC baby

♪ BYOC....Bring Your Own Crazy ♫from the wonderful It's just Me, Drazil & Sheniqua.... by ♫ Drazil ♪

It’s time for BYOC – Bring Your Own Crazy! We answer some questions in an effort to get to know each other better and to give our blog brains a break. Copy and paste to your own blog and ENJOY!

1. Do you make your bed every day? Tell us about or show us a picture of your bed comforter?
Unfortunately, I do.  Military corners and all.  I have since I left the army. Before the army I never made my darn bed.  I just love military corners.  Drives Charles insane, because he doesn't like for his stanky, nasty, finger toe feet to be enclosed.  (just in case i never mentioned it...i hate feet like Draz hates poop, puke, and other p words.)

2. Johnny Cash or Elvis? Thin crust pizza or deep dish? Coke or Pepsi? Beer or wine or neither?
That would be a neither.  LOL.  Elvis annoys me because he has his own station on XM/Sirus radio...which used to be all Kenny Chesney.  Color me pissed off about that change.

I don't care how my pizza comes as long as it comes.  Pizza is hands down my favorite food.  I could eat it daily and never get tired.  I love the stuff.

Pepsi baby...that other stuff taste like sugar water.

Neither.  Not a big drinker...but when I do...it's rum baby.  I love that stuff and it loves me.

3. I recently went through my list of blogs I follow and was at my limit so I unfollowed bloggers who haven’t blogged in at least 6 months. I want to start following some more new blogs. Who’s your fave lately? Funniest? Most inspiring? Can you link them for me??

There are way to many dang blogs to name.  So here is a quicky.  I love following Lap Band Gal...her blog was the first one I commented on.  I read Amy W. entire blog from beginning to end one night.  I like Draz blog, because she is a comedian.  My roomie Stephanie Joy, and Soul Pretty.  She is such a talent.  And of course the love of my blog life Read.

4. Repeat question: Summarize your week in blog land and in real life.

In blog land, thinking about Jacquie as she is having her GSV today.  I am so excited for her.  Missing some bloggers who have not blogged in awhile.  I'm happy that everyone is on a journey.  OMG...and I adore the fact that Laura Belle is a photographer.  I am stalking her.

I'm really proud of my boo Read!!  She has laid out her terms and she is sticking to her guns.  He better get it together or I'm coming to PA and kicking butt.

Real life:  did I ever mention how my kids are little spawns of satan with beautiful smiles.  Gosh....this parenting thing is lots of work.  Tonight I'm taking my special needs husband on a date.  He thinks it's for him, but it is so for me.  I need to see X-Men.

Have a great weekend!

I need a nap

I miss taking naps.  Before my angels arrived I would get home from work and go straight to bed.  I would take a 45 minute to an hour nap.  I would feel refreshed and ready to take on the world for the rest of the day.  No so much anymore.  I feel that I am sleep deprived.  LOL  I wake up at 5:30 a.m. and I go to bed no later than 12:30 a.m.  That is just not enough.

I would love to go to sleep earlier.  However, everything I need to accomplish has to be done after the kids are asleep.  This includes exercise, cleaning, etc.  I just want to take a nap.  I even asked my husband (he is a jerk sometimes) if I could take a nap when I came home.  He always wants to make a damn deal.  I like dude.  I do everything for you and those kids.  I can't get a damn nap.  OK...I'm done venting.

Challenge update

So Wednesday night was Zumba baby.  I enjoyed it, but I didn't sweat much.  The reason being is the assistant instructor was not there.  She has tons of energy and she works us out like it's against the law.  I love her.

Thursday I walked mostly.  Nothing to strenuous.  Oh wait...I'm wrong.  Apparently I'm a body builder.  LOL  I went to Lowe's to purchase a water dispenser and 5 gallon water bottles.  Well needless to say not one sales person assisted me in this transaction.  When I found the water dispenser at the back of the store I didn't have a cart.  I carried the water dispenser all the way to the front of the store.  Then I get to the register and I saw I would like 2 of the 5 gallon bottles of water.  She says to me, "they are over there."  Soooo I go grab the water jugs and pay for everything.  I finally get a cart and load up my goodies.  Then a employee finally asks if I need help.  I say all of this to say I lifted weights yesterday.  LOL

Food intake has been awesome.  With the exception of the peach cobbler I had for lunch yesterday.  I'm sorry...I couldn't resist.  It was like a little slice of heaven in my mouth.

The weekend should consist of 2 Zumba classes and hopefully a hike.  Not so certain on Zumba since the instructor I like is not going to be teaching the class anymore.  She is not certified...so the Zumba organization will not allow her to instruct the class under their trademark.   I'm not happy about this because the Fitness place knew she wasn't certified and still allowed her to teach.  Now she can't.  I like her moves.  I would suggest a class name change so that she can teach.  LOL

Well that is all.  It's time for some BYOC baby!

Let's talk about F O O D...and my Challenge Button

Good morning my lovelies!!  I hate not having my Internet services up and running at home yet.  I'm still using my mobile thingy.

Well first off please check out my awesome Challenge Button created by non other than Jen our resident blog fairy.  I love her so much.  She rocks.  Do you see the nips on the pavement...is that not awesome?!?

Well after the morning workout I was hungry all day.  I couldn't figure it out.  Then my idiot light bulb went off.  Duh...my metabolism was doing it's job.  My other Jen suggested that maybe it was time for a fill.  She is right.  I have an appointment on Tuesday.  I have cancelled my last 3 appointments because I was feeling just right.

So last night.  I came home.  Had dinner and was still hungry.  So I fixed a PBJ sandwich.  It was yummy and delicious.  However, the hunger monster was not satisfied.  Finally after about 10 whole grain tortilla chips I was good.  I was so not expecting to be attacked by the hunger monster.  I will be better prepared for all future morning workouts.

After putting the kids to bed I was scheduled to go for a walk.  I didn't.  I was exhausted.  Then I decided to read the blogs and saw that I had more comments.  Well the comments inspired me.  After I answered the blog fairy Jen's email, I put on my running shoes and left.  My husband didn't even know I had left the house.  Oops.  I did a short but fast sprint around to blocks and back.  I'm not a runner...but I felt like I should run.  Weird...I know.

Today I didn't go to work because my daughter has another speech therapy appointment that had to happen before Friday.

Today I will better manage my food.  Not sure what is for lunch and dinner yet.  I'm looking forward to a productive day.  It's a Zumba night.  I'm so excited.

I hope everyone is enjoying their hump day.

Lunch

Sooo...who knew that morning exercise would make me feel like a starving fat woman right before thanksgiving dinner.  I mean I was starved.

Today I brought a small compact lunch for myself.  A few slices of deli style turkey, sweet potatoes and 100 calorie pack cheese.  Good and straight to the point right.  Well lunch rolls around and I realize I'm starved...but I'm also sleepy.  So I opt to spend my 30 minutes in the car taking a nap (yes...it is 102 degree's...but I love to nap).  However, when I got to the car I realized I was really hungry.  I didn't want to clear the metal detector and walk all the way back to my office so I opted for the little Mexican spot up the street.

So I go in and request a 1/2 order of shrimp nachos.  The nachos come with re fried beans, grilled shrimp and cheese.  On the side you have the lettuce, sour cream and guacamole.  Needless to say those nachos didn't stand a chance.  I devoured them.  They were so yummy.  OMG.  I mean I have had this meal before and never were they this good.

I honestly wanted to lick my plate.  However, I thought that would have a little much even for me.

I'm usually only able to eat 3 of these nachos.  Today I ate all 7.  Yup...with sides.

This means I might need to add a slight jog to my walk tonight.  The pro about this meal was the good protein.  LOL

Do you ever get hungry after a workout?

Challenge name update

After reading all your wonderful comments and laughing like crazy I have decided on a challenge name.  Thanks for all the suggestions.  I would like to thank Leslie and Barb for helping me come to the final decision.  My proposed name made Barb laugh...and if Barb is laughing I'm a happy girl.  Leslie said my dress looked like a butterfly...and we all know how I love butterflies.  So the official name is

Madame Butterfly's Tits to the Pavement Birthday Challenge

Damn that is a long name...but hey...I love it.

So the challenge started yesterday.  Eating was awesome.  No big issues.  Had to take it really slow.  I took some advice from Tessie Rose.  She said in a previous post to know when to not put something in your mouth based on how the last bite felt.  So when I was eating lunch yesterday...It was going down really slowly.  Almost like it was just hanging out.  So I decided to stop eating.  By the time I got home I was starved.

My off day from exercise is usually Friday.  It happened on yesterday...the first day of the damn challenge.  LOL  However, I did have an awesome water fight with my son and daughter.  It was fun.  They are such suckers.  LOL

So the unspeakable happened to me this morning.  I got out of my bed at 4:30 am.  Got dressed and walked 3 miles and did 1 mile on the stair master.  Yes.  Isn't that illegal or something.  I mean people who the hell gets up that early.  I am so not a morning person.  I did it though.  I mean what's a challenge without a few uncomfortable moments.  Tonight I will walk again.  I can't wait to hang up my punching bag and speed bag in the garage.  I am positive it will help with my bat wings.

Thanks again for the challenge name suggestions.  I love how awesome yall are.

BOOBS here we comes.

Challenge name?

Good morning everyone!!  I hope you all had an awesome weekend.  My weekend was uneventful...as I don't have a life and my kids are time consuming and psycho.

On the band front ~ Many of you talk about feeling that your band is tight.  What does that feel like?  I never know my band is tight until I try to eat something and it doesn't work.  For example...I never eat before 10 a.m.  Dynamite (my band) is not a morning person and she likes to sleep late.  That works for me.  Well Saturday my mom made me a BLT.  I was so excited because I had not had one in sometime.  Well needless to say after 1 bite I was stuck.  I'm not talking about regular stuck where I can just walk it off.  I'm talking at in the bathroom PBing stuck.  It was so uncomfortable.

That was pretty much the extent of my weekend. Nothing was working.  After the 2nd time trying to eat and it didn't work I went liquid for the remainder of the weekend.  Last night I cooked dinner and thought I would give it a shot.  I am happy to report the band is accepting deposits again.  Yippie me.

Challenge name ~ So Beth Ann and Debi are doing a Balls to the Wall challenge.  I love the name.  I need a challenge of my own.  I have decided I want to do a birthday challenge.  My birthday is July 19th.  I would like to lose 10 lbs. by then.  This is a personal challenge.  I've decide to workout 6 days a week (OMG...what is wrong with me).  I want to get out of this rut I'm in.  I will bring my lunch to work daily...and eat lightly for dinner.  I will follow all bandster rules.  I'm on a mission.  This is the dress I want to wear to celebrate another year of my life. I can't afford the one in the picture as it cost $695.  So out of my price range.  However, I have a wonderful seamstress who is going to recreate the dress for me.  I'm giddy with excitement.  All for the bargain price of $250.

So I need a cute challenge name.  I can't think of anything.  I'm taking all suggestions.  The only thing I could think of was Tits to the pavement. LOL

BYOC...Le's Go Crazy!!

It’s Friday so that means it’s BYOC day – Bring Your Own Crazy….to five questions we all answer in an effort to get to know each other better and to give our blog brains a break! Copy and paste to your own blog and ENJOY!

1. How and why did you first start blogging? And how long have you been blogging?

The first blog I found was Catherine55.  I can't remember how I found it. So I started to read the blogs she followed.  I was addicted.  I didn't comment, but I read religiously.  Then finally in January of 2011 I started blogging.  I am so happy I did.  This blog family is so special to me.  This journey would be so much harder without yall.  I can be myself on this blog.  I can tell you all the truth.

2. Tell me about your perfect mate – if you could invent him/her?

My perfect mate is a man with street credibility.  I would be straight hood.  However, he would be educated and wear a suit.  But when he gets home the jeans and Tims are thrown on and he becomes the man that get my juices flowing.

He would need to know how to fix a car.  If I can do it...he should be able to do it too.  He would need to understand that I am not cooking unless I'm hungry.  LOL.  He can cook for the both of us.

He needs to love me more than he loves himself.  Because that is how I would love him.

3. Do you wear fake eyelashes? Do you want to? Do you use glue or self-stick ones? Do you like how they look?

I think they are gorgeous if they are well done.  I have never had them, but I would love to give it a try.  However, I am constantly rubbing my eyes I might rub them off in the middle of the day.  That would not be attractive at all.

4. Let’s say money was no object and neither was time off to recover – are you an advocate of plastic surgery after weight loss?

I believe we should all do what makes us happy.  We should take the necessary steps to find that happiness.  If plastic surgery will make a person feel better about themselves than go for it.  I do know that I would like to have my arms, tummy, boobs and thighs done.

5. Repeat question. Summarize your week in blog land and in real life.

• Blog life is good I love my blog family.  I enjoy sharing in the success of everyone.  I have been inspired by so many people trying new fitness outlets.  I have a plan to get something started this weekend.  I will let you know how it goes.

• Real life is crazy right now.  I still don't have Internet and phone at the new place.  Which is totally messing with my blog reading.  The kids are growing.  My daughter is being evaluated by a new speech therapist this week.  She may start school 3 days a week.  I'm excited and scared at the same time.

And the award goes too...

Big thanks to Manda Panda for this award!
The rules state I have to share 10 things about myself and then pass it on to a few different people, so let's get to the fun facts!
  1. I'm addicted to shopping.  I have a serious problem.  I'm a total shopaholic.
  2. I love to sing...even though I can't hold a note.  I sing at the top of my longs like I'm already a top selling office.
  3. Ice cream is my friend...it really is...even though the scale doesn't agree.
  4. I have a major crush on Read.  I think it's the red hair...or the Ricky stories...I'm not really sure...but I'm definitely crushing on her.
  5. I read at least 17 books a month.  I know...it's not a big number.  I used to read so much more.  Those darn kids have slowed me down.
  6. I still have an Atari.  True I can't play it...but I still have it.
  7. My husband never proposed to me.  He bought me a ring and I planned a wedding and told him to show up.
  8. I bath 3 sometimes 4 times a day.  I have serious cleanliness issues.
  9. I secretly want to be an assassin.  I mean that sounds so cool.
  10. I dance naked in the moonlight.
Now onto my nominees. These were chosen at random.  Enjoy!

Doing a happy dance

Remember in January when there was a new addition to our house.  The 2 week bio brother to my kiddos.  Well he is still a foster baby and he is still with us.  He is now 5 months old and the goofiest kid you ever want to me.  We affectionately call him Bologna.  LOL

Well yesterday the bio mom relinquished her parental rights to him.

Oh wait let me start from the beginning.  The bio parents were arrested in April.  They were both arrested on 3 felony counts of intentional injury to a child.  This stemmed from when my daughter was 9 months old and had 3 broken ribs, a broken leg, and a fractured arm.  They were finally taking to task for that.  My daughter is a month away from turning 3 and the justice system just not decided to act.

So they were arrested and couldn't afford to bond out.  Their bail was set at $450,000.  Well they went before the judge. They were both itching to get out of jail so they both took a plea agreement.  They each received 8 years of probation.  They can not have any contact with children. They have to do community service and take drug and alcohol test and a bunch of other crap.

Well due to the probation restrictions the mother realized she can't see the baby.  We did think she would put up a fight the same way she did with my other 2 kiddos.  But she didn't.  She relinquished.  The father (who is in jail serving 90 days) says that he is not going to relinquish.  He is going to get his child back.

Well his lawyer is convinced he will relinquish before he gets out of jail.  The cool thing is if he doesn't his rights will be terminated because a final hearing has already been set.  The hearing is before the same judge who was a part of the previous termination case that involved my kiddos.

So it looks like Bologna will be ours as well.  Hopefully his adoption will take place before his 1st birthday which is on January 1st.

My kids make me want to snatch my hair out...but I wouldn't send them back for anything.  I am so happy.

I confess...

...that Draz is a cult leader and I'm her loyal follower.  It's confession Wednesday.  Here we go.

I confess...that I am totally addicted to sex.  I want it all the time.  I think my husband should man up and give it to me at least 3 maybe 4 times a day.

I confess...that I will probably get arrested for raping the above mentioned husband if he decides to file charges.

I confess...that I want to slap the crap out of my co-worker today.  I can't stand that sniffling rat snitch.  He deserves to be taken down.

I confess...that I love those little flavor ice Popsicles and I have been eating them like they are going out of style.

I confess...that I'm mad that my darn advanced degree is not paying off yet, but I still have to pay Sallie Mae.

I confess...that I am in a financial pickle right now and it makes me madder than Dick was when Hattie died.

I confess...that when I see my boss I want to stomp on him like a southern cockroach.

I confess...that I would really love to be a professional photographer.

I confess..that I think politicians should all confess to being closest freaks.

I confess...that I would also like to be a professional dominatrix.

These are my confessions~

Read the first sentence of this post!!!

REFUSE to allow yesterday's losses steal today's victories!

There are days when we all want to quit.  I know there have been those days for me.  When the scale is going in the wrong direction or you go shopping and nothing looks just right.  But remember the words in that first sentence.

We will all be victorious.  Some of us will lose faster than others.  But we will all lose if we continue to work our band.  There are so many great success stories for use to admire.  Sarah G, Stephanie Joy, Lap Band Gal, Amy W., Catherine 55, Debi, Fluffy, Beth Ann...the list goes on and on.  The list also includes YOU!!!  You are a success.

Let's not quit.  Don't judge your success by how fast the pounds disappear off the scale.  Judge your success on how you feel.  What can you do today that you couldn't do 10, 15, 30 pounds ago?  Remember to take i one day at a time.

I love my B.O.O.B.S!!!

Did I mention...

...that I hate the damn grocery store.  I mean I really get frustrated at the grocery store.  People are in the way.  I want to run them over with the cart.  I want to scream Immigration in Spanish.  I want to slap the bubble gum popping check out girl because she can't count with her shoes on.  I want to pee on the idiot bagger because they didn't pay attention in how to bag grocery's 101.  I want to scream at the top of my lungs.  I hate the damn grocery store.

I feel better now.

my random life

Who's bright ass idea was it for me to move into a two story house?!?  Oh yeah...I'm the dummy who decided that.

Is it just me or every time you get upstairs you realize you forgot to do something down stairs or that you left something down stairs.  I literally hate those damn stairs.  However, I will have buns of steel in no time.

In band related news.  I have finally kicked the 280's in the ass and sent them packing.  I am now at 276.2.  Hell yeah baby.  I lost some damn weight.  Who would have thunk it?!?

I have been busier than a cat covering up shit.  I mean it is taking forever to get fully moved into the new house.  I'm tired as hell.  I didn't attend my Zumba last week.  However, I sweat and burned plenty of calories just moving stuff.  Oh yeah...and hunger...was non-existent.  I had to force myself to eat the other day.

I'm not following a few more blogs thanks to the B.O.O.B.S. post.  I'm so excited.  I can't wait to meet everyone in Chicago.

The Worst Move in History

I miss yall!!  I can't believe it has been a week since I blogged.  I will explain why.

We moved.  I have a gang of kids and the 3 bedroom apartment was no longer doing it for us.  So we decided to rent a house.  I refuse to buy a house, because I'm still not convinced I'm going to stay in Austin, TX.  So I have been cleaning and packing up my apartment since Saturday of last week.

Let's get to the worst move day in the history of move days.

The drama started on Wednesday morning.  We hired a moving company to pack us out (mostly disassemble and reassemble) and move us.  The guys started at exactly 9:11 am.  They left my new house at exactly 6:23 pm.  Yes...you read it right...it took them 9 effing hours to pack us, load us and move us freaking 15 minutes away.  COLOR ME PISSED THE "F' OFF!!!

But it gets better (can you smell the sarcasm).  AT&T were supposed to install our Internet and phone lines.  Well they say they showed up.  NOT...but after spending 1 and 45 minutes on the phone with them...mostly on hold I learn that I will not have phone or Internet services for 7 to 10 days.  WTF do you mean.  Apparently they need to drop a line (whatever that means) in order to give us service.  So are you telling me I'm the first person in this subdivision to order AT&T service.  The crap sounds really suspect to me and it only pissed me off more.  Then I tell the dumb technician guy I would like to have an extra jack installed in the house.  He proceeds to tell me how much it will cost.  I didn't fucking ask you how much it would cost...I just want one installed.  I don't give a rats ass about the price if I'm requesting it.  That is my biggest pet peeve.  So no phone on Internet for this girl and her family.

Here is where my anger just shoots off the scale.  It's 100 degrees outside.  I have 3 small children and a sickly mother.  The effing central air is not working!!!  Yup...you read that right.  No damn A/C.  The landlord calls to get someone out but can't get anyone until the following morning.  He offers to give us $100 off next month's rent so that we can stay at a hotel for the night.  Whatever...still not happy.

Oh yeah...the landlord also claimed he had someone come over and clean the place up before we moved in.  Well he should demand a damn refund because the place was not clean.  Hell you could see the dust on the stained concrete floors.

There is more.  Today I decide to do the laundry.  Well the damn washer and dryer unit are not hooked up.  No biggie right.  I'm a self-sufficient girl I can do this.  After pulling the damn thing out...I notice a huge crack in the fucking wall surrounding the gas line for the dryer.  Sorry...but I'm not about to put my kids lives in jeopardy just for some dry clothes.  I took pictures and sent it to the landlord.  Hopefully he will have some answers for me tomorrow.  So now I have to pack up my laundry and go to the laundromat tomorrow.  Which won't be that bad because they all have a Ms. Pac*Man video game.  LOL

So I am totally unhappy about the move right now.  I like order...this chaos is wrecking havoc on me little brain.

In band related news...Apparently my band shuts down like a prison cell at the 9 o'clock count when stressed.  Everything I tried to put in my mouth got stuck.  Everything except a Taco Bell Volcano Burrito (no tortilla).  So I have been living on TB and water for the last few days. It gets old really fast.

I have tons of blogs to catch up on and comments to make.  I did a little at work today.  I will be online.  I just have to use my mobile Internet connector thingy.  LOL

Have a great weekend everybody.

BYOC

Let’s do BYOCBring Your Own Crazy! Every Friday a bunch of us answer a couple questions – some serious, some funny – in an effort to get to know each other better and to give our blog brains a break. Copy and paste to your blog if you want to participate and ENJOY!

1. When is the last time you gave and got a compliment?

I'm never stingy with my compliments.  I hand them out all the time...and they are sincere.  The last compliment I haded out was about 30 minutes ago.  I told a guy I work with that he looks amazing with his new weight loss (he is a bandster).  He smiled his big smile for me.  Before him when I was getting my water I told a co-worker her highlights made her face look brighter.

Last compliment I received was this morning when a co-worker stated I rocked at training.  She said all the participants returned evaluations that said they loved my energy.

2. What do you wear to bed?

Whatever will not scratch the baby's face.  He wakes up to eat at 3:30.  I need to make sure when he is taking his bottle and I am sleeping that my clothes don't leave marks.  LOL

3. If you could pick your dream job – with no worries of shifts or money or bosses or commute – what would it be and where?
This question is a no-brainer for me.  My dream job would be President of Human Resources for 3M.  Yup...very specific.  I love everything about that company.  I would so smile daily if that was my job.  Oh...me and my lofty dreams.  2nd dream job is to be a Supreme Court Judge.  Yup...you read it right.  I don't have my law degree (yet)...but one day...I will be in a position where they will want me.
4. Okay – I’m not trying to start some huge controversy with this question but I have to put it out there. If you’re being honest – do you think staying at home or working outside the home is harder? Can you honestly recognize they are both equally hard? Even if you don’t have kids – have you heard others talk about the two professions judgementally?

Every situation is different.  I could not handle staying home all day.  I love my kids, but...no...I like working.  I have worked since I was 15.  I enjoy putting a smile on my face and doing something significant in the workforce.

Stay at home mothers work hard.  However, if you have 4 kids and 3 are in school all day...you are not working a full shift.  LOL

5. Repeat question. Summarize your week in blogland and in real life.

Blogland is crazy.  Blogger is a hormonal witch!!  Everyone is making amazing revelations about their weight loss.  I love to see us living and loving life.  It's also Jen's birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEN!!!  You are the best!!
Real life is busy.  We are moving on Wednesday and I have yet to pack a single box.  LOL  Bologna (4 mths) thinks he can crawl.  Sorry buddy but sit your little fat butt still.  I am busy chasing your sister and brother.  I really don't have time to chase you too.
