On May 16th I will be 6 months post-op. I had so many ideas of where I would be when I reached that date. I'm not there. Don't get sad ladies. I will get there...eventually.
I'm not upset. I am proud of where I am. I am amazed that I am working out on a regular basis. I love that I am aware of what I am eating, how I am eating and when I am eating. I knew this would not be easy. I have finally decided not to compare myself to others. I won't lose as fast as the next person. But guess what I will lose. It make take me 2 or even 3 years to reach my goal...but I know I can do it.
With that being said...I was wondering about restriction.
I'm so nosey. I like to know things. So how large is your band? How many cc's do you currently have in your band? At what point did you feel "good" restriction?
Today I see me...Today I love me...Today I smile for me...Today!!!

I have a 10cc band and I have 3.5cc's in mine. I had restriction at 2cc's, but it loosened up. I've been at this fill level for 6 months and I'm pretty happy with the level. I think my restriction has gotten better with this fill over time. And, I am one of those people who have a delayed reactions to fills.
I have a 10cc band with 7.3 cc's been there since December and feel good about it. I noticed my reflux started to act up with this so I know I won't be getting any more for a while. It took me 7 months before I felt what I would consider restriction.
I have a 10cc band, but I haven't had my first fill yet. I don't have any restriction at this time though I do feel full after about a cup of food. I get hungry again in like 2 - 2.5 hours after every meal though.
I think mine is a 10 cc band, and I'm at either 6.25 or 6.5 cc's right now. I'm still getting a feel for this last fill. It may put me in the green zone. I'm glad your not disappointed in your progress. Everyone's journey is their own, and different from everyone else's. You are still way ahead of the game. Consider where you were six months ago! And it will be six months for me tomorrow! yay!
I wish I could join in... kind of. I don't know how big my band is or how much is in there. After I forgot to ask the doc a couple times, I decided I just didn't need to know. That way, I'm not freakin' out when I've "already got so many cc's but not feeling anything..." So far it's kept me from obsessing.
Like Manda said, it is good in some ways just not to know... however, I do know that I have an 11cc band with approx. 10ccs in it. I feel slight restriction (if I eat too fast, too big of bites) but I can still eat anything (bread included). my doc says he can put up to 14ccs in my 11 cc band though. Must be because of the tubing that leads from the port to the band.
Ditto! I am feeling the same too. I was putting some high expectations on myself and was not feeling very good for it, now I am plodding along knowing that I will get there!
I have a 10ml band with 4.5mls in it so far. I am thinking a may need a tiny fill as sometimes I feel like there is nothing there, sometimes I feel very restricted. I am not sure - I will talk it over with my doc at my next visit. :)
I think mine is an 11cc band and I currently have about 8.5cc in it. I have pretty good restriction - when I stick to the rules :p Sliders don't count when you are talking restriction :o)
I think the pressure we put on ourselves in this weight loss journey is the worst. Sometimes we just have to accept our progress and be happy. I have such struggles with this on a daily basis, not matter what I've done it's not good enough in my mind.
I have an 11cc realize band and I have about 7.5ccs in it. I was up to 9.5ccs but that was way too much restriction. I could probably use more restriction but I'm happy where I'm at right now.
Hello! I have a 10 cc Lap Band with about 7.1 ccs in it currently...totall in the sweet spot. I felt good restriction at about the 5.5 cc spot. :) Congrats on 6 months.
I have a 10 cc band with 5.5 cc in it.
