Icecream

So...that public declaration on Tuesday of giving up icecream.  EPIC FAIL!!  I mean what the hell was I thinking.  I could have a easier time just deciding to stop breathing...but giving up icecream...that was just a stupid idea.

I didn't even last a full 48 hours.  Yesterday was the moment when I had to have it.  And have it I did.  The sad part is I went all out.  I mean Thursday was a horrible food day all around for me.  But I devoured a 710 calorie Peanut Buster Parfait from DQ.  Let me just say....DAMN IT WAS GOOD!!!!

So I am not giving up icecream.  It's just to dang hard.  I will however, not waste another 710 calories on a DQ.  LOL

Is it just me...or did this week drag on forever?!?!

you didn't last 48 hours but how long did you last? You so wrong for making me think about ice cream! I love ice cream too! Better luck next time....lol

Ice cream is so hard to give up!

I cave sometimes with one of the kid-size Ice Dream cones from Chick-fil-A, or a kid cone from McD's (pretty much the only fast food I eat, come to think of it! LOL).

Satisfies the craving, usually, without too much damage. Baskin Robbins kid cups are also only about 100 calories +/-, but I find it harder to resist in there because of all the choices. heh

I am a firm believer that it is better to work treats into my food plan than try to eliminate them altogether. Vowing to never have a food I love is a sure-fire way to send me into a binge.

One thing I learned is that you have to indulge every once in awhile but budget for it and do it right...I like having small portions of real treats (not diet substitutes)...this is not about denial...just life style change.
