Irritated

The sadistic, overbearing bitch that is mother nature decided to rear her ugly head days before Chicago.  Really...or you fucking kidding me?  I had not intention of being concerned about spot checking my clothes the entire weekend.  This is for the birds.  I'm not happy.  I would totally stay home if I wasn't so damn cheap.  I refuse to waste money.

In other news...my kids are crazy!!  My daughter has decided that she is a princess.  Here is what being a princess means in her world.

Me:  Dollbaby go clean up your room.
P:  No mama.
Me:  Excuse me?  Did you say no to me?  Dollbaby go clean up your room or you are going to bed early.  That means you can't wait your show.
P:  I don't have to clean up my room mama.
Me: Why not?
P:  Because I'm a princess!!!

Yup...so whenever you tell the princess to do something that she doesn't want to do...she bust out and says...but Mama...I'm a princess.  Or if she wants something you have.  You have to give it to me because I'm a princess.  I had to explain to her...the even though she is a princess...she can't still get her bottom spanked.  Chile please!!

I see a lot of post about the Chicago weather.  I can't wait to breath some fresh air.  It was 103 in Austin, yesterday.  Umm...isn't it fall.  I can't even wear my cute boots or my dang legs would sweat to death.

Last night I worked on getting my bike just so.  I finally got the basket on, the lights attached and the seat adjusted.  Then...my handlebars seemed a little off.  They now need to be adjusted and I need more lights.  My neighborhood is so dark at night.  I did go for a short ride.  Nothing to major until I get more lights and my helmet.

Oh yeah...Charles still plans on making me run when he gets back next month.  I am only going to do this because I have a goal to complete by the end of November.  Ugh.

I just wanted to say Congrats to all those who participated in the Back to Basics Challenge.  All of you did so well...posting big numbers for your overall loss.  Keep up the good work and know that you are encouraging others.

Damn Texas. It's SUPER dark in my neighborhood at night, too. We used to have a ton of lights but... wait for it... kids shot out the lightbulbs with BB guns. Ugh.

"You might be a redneck if..."

I saw the weather report for Chicago this morning. :( Surely it'll be cleared up by the time we get out there? IT BETTER BE!

You would have a riot on your hands if you canceled your trip due to Aunt Flos visit lady. You know the Boobs chicks will hunt you down and drag your beautiful self to the event. *grin*

As for princess...I'm so glad I have a son...and a four legged one at that. I'm sure it's adorable except for the times you really need princess to do something! hee hee.

When I'm feeling down (which is a lot lately), I just make my way on over to your blog for a good lil chuckle. You, by far, have the funniest blog out there! Everyone else who tries to make folks laugh, do just that, they try too damn hard. Yours is a natural humor and I love it!!

Have a great time in Chicago!

Thanks for the Aunt Flo reminder...now that I'm as regular as ever I needed that reminder that she's coming to visit me either today or tomorrow...I feel your pain, girl (literally)!

I can't relate to the princess thing (having two boys and all) but I have the kid who asks "why?" to everything...I finally reverted to that tried-and-true response that every parent uses..."BECAUSE I SAID SO!"

Have a great time in Chicago sweetie...you deserve it!!

Your daughter sounds a lot like mine. She tried that princess bit on me and I told her "Yes sweetie but I'm the QUEEN and the queen trumps all others..." It kinda worked. LOL

I actually call my daughter Princess. SHe is. Luckily she no longer lives at home (or in my town). Chuckle, I adore my princess.
I like Manda's response, remind her you are queen!!
I wish I was going to Chicago- just to hug you. Next year.
Your bike also sounds super ass cute.

Ummm, while we were vacationing in our OWN. PRIVATE. CABIN. in the woods last weekend....for our anniversary...far away from people....my Aunt flo showed up. Honey, I didn't go up there for the food. I wanted good ol' bang bang time. But that damn beeaatch ruined it all.

So, I got you beat. And you have to go to chi-town, and come back and tell my how freaking fabulous it was!

So glad I just got over that!

My princess does the exact same thing, and she is old enough to know better!
